This trail starts in the Plaza de El Médanoin front of the beach, in the direction of the wooden promenade of Nuestra Señora de Las Mercedes de Rojas. In this area we will find ourselves welcoming the traditional letters composing the name ofEl Médano
We will enjoy unbeatable views of Leocadio Machado beach to reach the beginning of the Montaña RojaNature Reserve. This protected area consists of 167ha of protected land, located in its center the volcanic cone of Montaña Roja A pyroclastic volcano 171 meters high.
We will find a dune sector at the base of special interest.
In the Llano de Rojas is located a clear vestige of an airstrip for airplanes (private airfield), in which there is still a small control tower.
Seven ancient bunkers that, as a defense against any threat of invasion by the Allies during World War II, still remain in this space.
